Established in 1977, Harbeth are the quintessentially British monitor speaker designers and manufacturers. The Harbeth family comprises two product lines. The original HL (meaning, Harbeth Loudspeaker) family date from the HL Monitor of 1977, and these speakers are well received in the domestic market in stereo and multi-channel systems.

The Prestige is Audio Aero's digital statement. This long
awaited player features SACD and the best red book cd playback that
is hard to distinguish from SACD. The transport is the latest Philips
SACD laser mechanism. The digital signal is treated using Audio
Aero's exclusive resembling DSD compatible S.T. A.R.S. 2 module. The
incoming signal is resampled to 24/192. The SACD DSD is converted to
PCM improving the signal to noise by 9 db. Resampling as opposed to
upsampling eliminates digital jitter, upsampling can increase jitter
by four to eight times.

The Prima is Audio Aero's entry level player. The redesigned
Prima now has the same profile as the Capitole and the Prestige
players. The new Prima now employs a Sony laser mechanism able to
read standard red book cds and cdrws. The Prma is a 24 bit 192kHz
player and uses a Burr Brown DAC. The 16 bit signal is treated by the
24 bit Dac and the 6021 tube output stage gives the Prima an analogue-
like quality. The Prima will satisfy the demands of the most
demanding audiophiles with surprising musicality and detail.
